Harrow Council is committed to improving the air quality in the borough. Clean air is essential for good quality of life. Many of us who live and work within the borough contribute to the air quality sometimes without thinking about the effects. Fumes from traffic, heating systems and bonfires can all contribute to a reduced quality of the air.

We can all make small changes in our lifestyles that can contribute to improving the quality of air in the borough and can have other benefits such as better health.

An Air Quality Action Plan was adopted in May 2004 that includes all the ideas that the Harrow Council thinks will help to encourage better quality of air.

This web site acts as a source of information on the current air quality, how you can help and highlights any activities that promote air quality.
